Lady Macbeth's Speech

"Look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under it.” Act 1 Scene 5 Line 64

This quote is a part of Lady Macbeth’s speech, while she is trying to convince Macbeth to murder King Duncan. As discussed in class, she uses a very Machiavellian approach by following the idea-- it is essential for a prince to "seem" like he has good qualities, but is ready to be evil if required.
