Power and Ambition

    While reading the famous book Macbet, we see that there are really interesting themes about human psychology, philosophy, ect. However; there is a surely prominent theme and this is power and ambition. To take a look at for a minure in our lives, we are always being headed to become more powerful in the area that we are going to expertise and in order to do that, they say that we should be really ambitious to attain our goals like becoming a lawyer,minister or an engineer. However; Do we all just stop for a minute and and elaborate our situation? No we do not. We are competing with others like horses to get more and more and we are doing that with great ambition. Even some of us are deceiving his friends or do not want them to become as successful as he is. There is always a desire, a desire for more, a desire which never ends, a desire even lasting until the day we die. How about once checking this ambition to become more powerful? As we saw in the Macbeth, the power of ambition for turning a fair man into a cruel one. Macbeth was once a really good and loyal man for his king and his people. He was even promoted because of his success and became the thane of Cowdor. Therefore; when we contemplate how a man like Macbeth came to point to kill his own king and even others to strongen his reign? This ambition feeling should be genuinely strong to deviate this king of man from his path. This feeling is so powerful that Macbet tries to get away from it but he could not. After honored by king Duncan, as the thane of cowdor, this evil ambition lead him to kill Duncan and this point was his start; "I have no spur to prick the sides of my intent, but only vaulting ambition which o'erleaps itself and falls on the other", the corruption with ambition started at this point where the got some power. This situation reminended me another character I do love to watch, which is Yagami Light, who uses the great power of a book called Death Note, in the anime Death Note. This tale has also very emotional aspects about how power and huge ambition can corrupt a man. Some of you may find this unrelated but I found that really related. The given emotional aspect is to broaden the idea of how great power and ambition corrupts man is perfect! Therefore; I strongly recommmend you to check the story of anime Death Note first if you do not know it then watch(start from min. 10:00) the Original Language with Turkish subtitle and English Dub. I could not find Eng. sub of original language. Original language with subtitle is better. If you know Turkish, watch first one!

I understood that killing people was a crime. There was no other way! The world had to be fixed! A purpose given to me! Only I could do it. Who else could have done it, and come this far? Would they have kept going? The only one who can create a new world is me.
