I think in this painting, the represented part is from Act I Scene III where Banquo and Macbeth receives the prophecies of the witches about their future. With parallel to the play Macbeth and Banquo ,painted as mighty warriors, having a chat with three witches their positions and hand movements shows that. And witches looks weird like they are not human. But the interesting thing is that there is a 4th head just behind the witches. In the scene I couldn't find anything to connect with this head. It seems odd to me and If you help me to find out I would be happy.
