Expulsion from Garden of Eden

After first genesis, Adam and Eve start to live without sorrow, death ,and ache. Adam and Eve have been warned by god about eating the fruits of tree but despite all warning, they were deceived by the devil and they ate the fruit. Therefore, they stumbled original sin and they were expelled from paradise. Then, they lived with pain and diseases. Masaccio wanted to tell the most importante feature which is adam and eve’s pain and shame  in this work. Facial and body expressions clearly show their pain while out of paradise. There is angel which wear red clothes .The angel dismiss Adam and Eve from paradise with sword in this work.  Masaccio adhered to basic sturcture of christianity. Adam and Eve’s physics are standart in this work and Masaccio show their most natural state. There is 2 ordinary unclothed people but Masaccio’ aim is that he wanted to show emotional intensity. On the other hand, Masaccio utilized from perspective idea in this work. Even if door which is here in the left side look like narrow, the door add width to this work. Shadow and light which are here on the Adam and Eve create realistic image.
