Hi guys,
Via the encouragements that Lady Macbeth provided Macbeth put himself in a emontional chaos. I strongly doubt that Macbeth did the right thing by killing the king(Duncan). There are three consequences that killing the king may possibly cause Macbeth to face with:
-The firs one is about even handed justice. After killing Duncan Macbeth thinks that the same event may happen to him as well which is likely to happen. If you create an anarchic atmosphere to become a king, why the other people would not do the same action? In other words, If you kill a king to become a king, how can you trust your own people while you are managing the country?
-The second one is about trust bonds. Humans have nature and they need to act as a human being. In any culture, have you ever seen a person who kills his/her guest? Is it a manly movement?. Furthermore, the old king Duncan was not only a guest, he was also a relative. If the fact that Macbeth killed Duncan comes into open, can he be honored as a ''good man''? Isn't this decision of Macbeth is against his virtues of himself? Where is the man who was upset about killing his own people?
-The latter possible consequence is about tears vs. winds As a good Christian, could not he consider the fac that divine justice will come to punish him. Duncan was not also a good king but also a good man which means that Duncan has Gods in his side. By just destroying and exterminating Duncan, can Macbeth graze divine anger, will not afterlife be a torture for him?
When I consider these possible consequences, I strongly believe that Macbeth is a mindless person, who has no patience. Duncan was 60-70 years old and If Macbeth did not kill him, most probobly he would die himself and Macbeth will be the new king. There are possible opinions in my head about the end of the Macbeth which are not positive. What are your ideas on this issue? Do you think that Macbeth did the right thing?
