In this play Lady Macbeth, although enters later on the scenes, has a vital role in terms of the fade of her husband. Macbeth is a character who has good in himself however he also has ambition for power. I believe if his wife were not be like Lady Macbeth, he did not intend to kill Duncan. Lady Macbeth is manipulating her husband by questioning his manhood and serves sex is a prize for being a man. Under this pressure of his wife and his doubts about becoming a king or not affects Macbeth and his mind. The scene where Macbeth sees a dagger he expresses his doubts by saying the famous sentence “Is this a dagger which i see before me…” (pg.124). He continues to examine the situation because he has confronted an unnatural situation already when he encounters with the Weird Sisters. Since they were real and their provision is about to be real, the reality of dagger becomes a real question for him. The deep down he is sure about wanting that power and the vision of the murder weapon tell us this secret desire of him.
I agree with your interpretation, Lady Macbeth uses certain tactics to manipulate Macbeth and convince him to murder King Duncan. We can also see that in Act 1, Scene 7, since she started questioning his courage as well as his love to her; because she knows him so well, she was successfully able to persuade him.
