Resistance vs. Enlightened

As Kant says "it is so comfortable to be a minor"  he means you have people for your needs instead of yourself doing it, we might put them in a group "The Resistance". In contrast people who seek to improve humanbeing to higher level is "The Enlightened". What I found is not tottaly related with Kant and his view but a game based on these similar terms quite excited me.

On reddit page there is a question about the game "Ingress" where you choose Enlightened or Resistance at the beginning of the game. Interestingly, gamers selected "The Resistance" more. People on reddit came with some interesting ideas.

  1. This is really fascinating. I think it says a lot about recent history and the way the world is organized today that people tend to think about resistance as being a positive value, and might see the "enlightened" as some sort of sinister elite. We identify with the small embattled resister because the forces in our world seem so massive and out of our control. It's hard to imagine a positive change that we ourselves could control...
