David statue was made by michelangelo between 1501 and 1504. Big part of society think that the statue is the best creation. This creation has been recognized as masterpieces of the renaissance period. This statue symbolized the moment when david decided to attack the goliath. This masterpiece is 5.17 meters in height. İt is symbolizes of florence. This statue show perfect person rate and is based on information forms the basis of male artistic discipline of disegno.Lastly, in fact, the ratio of the actual human statues rate observed is quite different. Head and upper-body, lower-body ratio is greater than others.
As far as I know, first they decided to put this statue on the Florence Cathedral and Michelangelo wanted to make his hands bigger than the actual size so that it will be seen stronger from the ground. However when Michelangelo finished it, they changed their mind because the statue was too beautiful to put that high. Because of this, the proportions of the statue seems wrong when we are at the same level with him and to see it "more" beautiful it is advised that we should look at it by crouching.
ReplyDeleteAlso as we discussed in class the movement of the different members of the statue is in harmony. For example, his one foot is in front of the other and this detail makes him seem strong, his eyes look confident and he is calm at the same time.
