Ponzo Illusion

Alberti talks about mathematics, optics, and geometry in art. I decided to talk something about perspective which is called "Ponzo Illusion".

According to Ponzo, human mind perceives object's size based on background.

Example 1:

In this gif, the furthermost car looks like the biggest because of this illusion but when they are compared without a background their sizes are equal.

Example 2:

In this gif, even though the yellow line on the top looks like bigger they are equal. This is also an illusion because of perspective.

  1. Yeah, it's really fun to see tricky illusions! I found one here still can't believe that green lines are equal :)

  2. As a guy who has a symmetry disease, eventhough it disturbs me just ''a little bit'', it's also great to see how important and sometimes tricky our perception is :)

For me, maybe that is the most disturbing one.
