"Concerning the Nature of the Human Mind : That It Is Better Known That the Body" from the subtitle of the book, which is the name of second meditation, this idea starts to finding with certainity by going beyond to doubts. This idea makes him to work on, "existence of human body or he exists.". According to him, he has a body a soul and a body. Body makes physical existance of him and his soul makes him thinking which is making for real existence of him. From the point of " I think, therefore I am" we can create relationship in between thinking and existing. The well known sentence has two impotant part in itself. First is "think", to expand this idea, think is knowledge about the world and what we experienced so far. The second part of the sentence is "therefore, I am" what makes people exists is thinking, without thinking there can not be existence of ourselfes.
One of the important example of Descartes is done with piece of wax. The wax has shape, color, taste, smell, hardness and etc.. After closing up the wax towards the fire, wax starts to melt. All atributes of wax is changed, it is not hard anymore, its color totally changed becomes liquid, the smell is changed. However, even the all sensible qualities are changed totally the existence of wax did not change, it still remains there and did not fly away. " I must confess that it does; no one denies it; no one thinks otherwise. So what was there in the wax that was so distinctly grasped ? Certainly none of the aspects that I reached by means of the senses. For whatever came under the senses of taste, smell, sight, touch or hearing has now changed; and yet the wax remains."
All in all, mind-body dualism and existence of human are the key points of the second meditation. However, to understand how a human mind works and comprehend the world we should also know the other meditations of Descartes. Briefly, first meditation is based on skeptical doubts and the sixth one is cartesian body, mind-body dualism. Moreover, Descartes has provided lots of methods and examples to create concrete solutions to understand how mind works like the wax test.
