The Father of Economics and World's First Self-Help Guru

After talking about Adam Smith in the class, I've found a short essay about the misunderstandings about Adam Smith. It is interesting that the essay calls Adam Smith as the world's first self-help guru and the essay mentions his understanding of technology, ambition and friendship which are also applicable today and some real-life examples.   1. It's a very interesting post :) I didn't know that Smith was the first behavorial economist and considered people as emotional rather than rational. People lust for beauty and aesthetics. It seems like Smith wrote the basics of marketing.
    Besides, Smith's argument that the pursuit of wealth, fame and power make you unhappy is noteworthy. It reminded me of Robin Sharma's book, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari. Thanks for sharing this post with us:)
