Importance of Printing Press in Enlightenment
Isn't it amazing to learn about the historical events that are occured all around the world? The most efficient way to learn is to read books, newspapers etc. The books that we utilize are mostly printed ones. Currently, people mostly have access to reach any printed source. However, almost 4,500 years ago before Gutenberg invented the printing press, books were made by hands. This situation caused lots of misunderstandings that leads to lack of knowledge. People should be aware of that the ultimate good is acquiring happines. Due to the fact that knowledge is the key word in achieving happiness, invention of printing press is a mile stone for human kind. An example of importance of printing press can be seen in the difference between the books 'The Epic of Gilgamesh' and 'On Painting'. In the Gilgamesh there are a lot of spaces that are put because of the corrosion of the area that is done by hand. On the other hand, in 'On Painting' there isn't any problem regarding to understanding. We live in the İnnovation Age, we have opportunity to reach any information about anything to get enlightened thanks to Gutenberg. Thus, printing press is a vital invention in the respect of access to knowledge and acquiring happiness.
