I don't know if anyone here is as into gardens, Renaissance style and period dramas as I am but in case you're, I wanted share this little movie by late Alan Rickman. "A Little Chaos" focuses on the building of a part of King Louis XIV's palace's garden, as we know today Gardens of Versailles. It is fictional story that has romantic and dramatic elements addition to great cinematography that lets you observe the Renaissance style inspired gardens and architecture. Since we're reading Alberti's ideas about painting and architecture, viewing a little bit of (fictional) drama that goes behind the process of creation of these art forms could be fun. It is directed by Alan Rickan and stars him as King Louis besides (absolutely amazing) Kate Winslet, Matthias Schoenaerts and Helen McCrory.
Here is its IMDb page and the trailer.
The movie is also out on DVD and online viewing.
its imdb point is a little bit low but i ll check one day in the memory of Rickman
